Last week on Starry Sky and Witchy Things podcast I had two guests to talk about the 9th house, whose themes are about expansion, which includes spiritual journeys and pilgrimages.
You should be expanding your mind when you travel, although nowadays with the internet and all-inclusive resorts it’s easy to see people expanding more from their home than from their travels.
And I think the idea of travel in the modern interpretation has been made to be a lot more tourism-like when in reality it always had this strong connection to the spiritual realm, so if you have your Eat Pray Love situation in Bali versus just going for an exotic holiday (if you even can escape the inner transformation of such a spiritually powerful place as Indonesia).
In the 9th house we see a quest for truth and a quest for meaning. That’s a key theme of this conversation. We went through a lot of topics that sprung up from my guest’s recent trip to the sacred sites of Ireland.
There may be some upsetting topics related to the suffering of women under the patriarchy, including abuse and systemic issues in the courts, so listener’s discretion is advised. It’s a very open, frank, and feminist conversation and I preserved the full power of what was shared when editing because that’s my production policy.
Meet Laura Bonetzky-Joseph
Laura Bonetzky-Joseph is a multi-generational healer & intuitive, spirit medium, wellness expert, crone witch, seeker, spiritual teacher, Jikiden Reiki® Shihan, sacred activist, survivor of domestic violence and sexual assault and founder of Healing With Spirit and Healing Trauma Through Spirit based in coastal, Hingham, MA, just south of Boston, MA. As a result, this led her to start the “Triggers & Spiritual Medicine” podcast in 2021 and in 2022 she published her first two books. In her first collaborative book “Feisty: Dangerously Amazing Women Using Their Voices To Make An Impact”, Laura shared her story regarding post separation abuse and family court abuse, which debuted #1 on Amazon in 4 categories.… and in October 2022, Laura will publish her 1st solo book on the “Secrets To Healing: An Invitation to Heal Trauma and Other Root Causes of Chronic Illness Using the Japanese Reiki Gokai” which debuted at #2 on Amazon. Most recently, Laura just returned from leading a sacred pilgrimage to Ireland that participants called “magical AF and immersive”.
