Now on to our Astrological calendar for March.
New Moon in Pisces
The New Moon is a traditional time to set new intentions for the month ahead. The one in Pisces is the last one of the astrological year, and its themes have to do with inner work and setting visions for the cycle that’s about to start. Dreams are a big focus of Pisces energy.
If you had some vivid dreams lately, it might be that you were sensitive to Mercury conjunct Neptune, which is exact today (March 8th). Neptune is the modern ruler of Pisces, the god of the seas in mythology, and water represents our emotions and our connection with the spiritual realm.
If you come to business from the old paradigm it may not make a lot of sense why I talk about emotions so much, since it used to be the case that you were expected to leave everything at the door of the workplace even though burying feelings and not processing only makes them reappear much worse as things like bodily illnesses and burnout.
Not only that, but emotions affect the way we show up in our businesses, and our subconscious picks up on the subtle bodily communication even when our conscious mind cannot put the finger on the pulse of what feels off. This is what people in this space mean by focusing on the energetics of business as well as the strategy.
You can put strategies in place and still not convert people into clients because your vibe doesn’t match the image you portray with the things that you do, or your branding.
The New Moon cycle will start at 20º of Pisces at 9am GMT on the 10th.
Mars and Venus in Pisces
Mars and Venus were lovers in the mythology, and as two of the personal planets still can be seen as representing our “masculine” and “feminine” qualities. Mars, god of war, is the planet that represents outward action, while Venus (also partly a goddess of war) is the planet seen as our point of attraction and receptivity. She is also our values, both with the material (as ruler of Taurus) and the people around us (as ruler of Libra).
Mars rules Aries, which is Cardinal Fire so initiation energy.
This dance of moving close to each other for the first half of the month is an opportunity to make sure that the actions we take are aligned with our innermost feelings, as it begins in Aquarius and transitions to the sign of the liminal on the 11th of March for Venus, and 22nd for Mars.
Uranus Square
Uranus is a main player this spring, as he moves towards conjunction with Jupiter before the latter leaves Taurus, where they have both been together for some time. As a planet of revolution and Tower moments, his aspects can often bring up much needed shake-ups to all the things we may not realise (or outright ignore) that needed shifting.
Venus was first to square Uranus last week on the 3rd, and Mars will follow suit tomorrow on the 9th ahead of the New Moon. The theme for the lunation is strongly about aligning with one’s authenticity.
Mercury in Aries
On March 10th, Mercury joins the North Node of destiny and Chiron, which Ayesha of Oath Oracle says will be “energizing (sic.) our communication with passion and boldness”. That’s a welcome interpretation, because it can be easy to see Mercury in Aries as a speak before it thinks energy (for the Idolish7 fans out there, Tamaki energy).
As someone who knows full well the damage of overthinking and not vocalising something out of fear of being dismissed for being too impulsive, it’s not as black and white for me. Especially not with Chiron in the mix, as it speaks of some of our common ancestral wounds.
While our natal placement will highlight a different wound unless you’re having your Chiron return, we all still experience the same wound in what Jung called the Collective Unconscious, and we have the trauma of our ancestors quite literally in our DNA.
So it’s impossible to escape having the wounds that Chiron represents as it moves around the Zodiac.
The planet of communication being in the same sign for a time, including going retrograde between April 1st and 25th, to me is an invitation to look at expressing the feelings related to our very human need to be number one, which is exponentially worse in the world of business.
