In the age of social media and influencer marketing, it’s harder for traditional advertising to compete.
While the stylish aspirational photos we see in magazines still have some power over the would-be Carrie Bradshaws (guilty as charged), marketing has to move with the times.
As things that were once considered luxuries become more accessible, luxury is being redefined.
Customer experience and personalisation are taking the stage, and brands are expected to show up authentically.
That’s great news for emerging designers, but it’s not bad news for established ones either
